This kokeshi by Kurasawa Toshie (倉澤敏恵) features an elegant, elongated form decorated with delicate white blossoms and slender blue-green leaves against a soft celadon background. The warm, natural wood of her rounded head contrasts beautifully with the cool tones of her floral robe, while fine floral details in her hair and her serene expression add to the refined design. The repeating blossoms create a graceful sense of movement along the figure, bringing together traditional Japanese floral motifs and a clean, contemporary sense of form.
