Inosuke Kobayashi was a Prime Minister Award Winning Kokeshi Master and his kokeshi are collected all over the world. Kobayashi was born in 1931 in Gunma Prefecture and died early in life. His date of passing is unknown. Inosuke started his artistic carrier by studying oil painting. Later he discovered Kokeshi Art and only created a limited number of kokeshi. His exclusive pieces are very rare finds and often showcase elaborate treatment of the kimono and its diversity of textile design. Besides winning the Prime Minister award in 1979, several of this kokeshi were awarded important prices.
