This is a true museum piece by Master Sansaku Sekiguchi. This is as rare as it gets. She is titled 'Yayoi' representing the arrival of spring. Life begins to sprout and nature comes alive. Cherry blossoms are starting to bloom and winter has ended. When you zoom in on the kimono of this kokeshi, you will quickly notice that the details are very well executed. This kokeshi also comes with her original box which is added value. Such large boxes are normally easily thrown away for such large sized kokeshi as they take up useful space in the smaller houses in Japan.
