This kokeshi doll has a tall, slender form with a calm, serene presence. It is made of wood and finished with a smooth, matte surface. The face is simple and gentle: closed eyes, a small nose, and a subtle mouth, giving an expression of quiet contemplation. Long brown hair frames the face and flows down the sides of the head without sharp detail.
The body is painted a warm, soft red and decorated with scattered leaf motifs in yellow, green, and hints of blue, suggesting an autumn theme. One of the leaves are from the ginkgo tree which symbolizes longevity, endurance, hope, and resilience. Around the waist is a patterned golden-yellow band with fine, swirling lines that resemble traditional textile designs. The kimono appears to wrap naturally around the body, with the hands suggested near the chest in a modest, prayer-like pose.
The doll stands on a rounded black base, which grounds the piece and adds contrast to the lighter, warmer tones above. Overall, the kokeshi feels elegant and tranquil, blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a minimalist, decorative style.
