This kokeshi is a design that dates back to the origin of the the creative kokeshi movement. A similar design is featured in a publication from 1960-1961. There it is titled 'Girl'. The most dominant feature us her hairstyle and ribbon. What a great way of elevating this doll. A true masterpiece in her simplicity.
