Yasunobu Oki is is an awarded Kokeshi Master and began making original Kokeshi Art under his father-in-law, Master Sansaku Sekiguchi. Some of his Kokeshi is are very distinct including samurai cat kokeshi. 

Yasunobu Oki was born in 1955 in Fukuoka Prefecture. He graduated from the Sokei Academy of Fine Art and Design. He is also a member of the Japan Kokeshi Crafts Association. In 2024, his kokeshi were exhibited during the exhibition 'Art Without Heros - Mingei' at William Morris Gallery London.
